"I Miss The Daze" is a poem about a straight married man that cruises for gay sex. It was part of The Cruising Monologues, by Jose Batista-Ayala. The Cruising Monologues tells the stories of seven individuals and their experiences with "cruising," the act of walking or driving around town in search of a little romance, usually of the gay, anonymous, casual, one-time variety.
