PROJECT: The Cruising Monologues
Inspired by Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, The Cruising Monologues tells the stories of six individuals and their experiences with "cruising," the act of walking or driving around town in search of a little romance, usually of the gay, anonymous, casual, one-time variety. The show features comical monologues, poetry, and dance in an eye-opening evening of laughter.

4.3 percent of Hispanic adults in the U.S. identify with being LGBTIQ but where are they? What do they do? Where do they live? What are their stories? Well no one really knows and I'd like to change that with a show like Lisa Ling’s “Our America” on TV.
“Our America” tells stories of the American people that we would otherwise never hear - so why not have something like that on TV for Latino(a)'s?
I started the petition to catch someone at Logo TV's attention but I am NOT limiting which outlet picks this project up because in the end, I want this to make a difference - no matter who, what, where and how!
Some have asked why JUST Latino(a)'s? Well, it's what I know best. I am of Dominican and Puerto Rican decent and understand the struggle to blend or fit the very masculine, manly-mold of what Hispanics think a man is. Or how there is a double standard with Lesbians because they are women vs gay men.
Growing up, positive stories of average LGBTIQ Latino(a)'s doing above average things weren't heard of - but times have changed and OUR stories need to be heard! Not to mention that many of us know some really interesting Latino(a)’s that are making a difference and I, along with many others, feel like that should be highlighted in a fun, positive and entertaining way.. So please, sign this petition and share it with your friends and family.
Thank you for your time!
